Opening day was a huge success with the BBQ and a long day of football.

 August 27

Ti Cats 19 vs. Bombers 18

The first game of the day was a great the Ti Cats held on beat the Bombers by a single point,The Cats were led by Chantz Petruic, who ran for two touchdowns 3 yds and 56 yds respectfully.Petruic threw for a single pt convert to Dylan Stevens. Jordan Byrant scored the other Td.Bombers scored three touchdowns as well but could not convert on any of them, Brendan Seida scored on a 58 yd run. Jory Litt-Jukes scored on a 61 yd trot and the most exciting one came when Jaden Benson, took a kick return and rumbled 80 yd for the TD.

 Lions 32 vs. Riders 20

Riders Brayden Martin was a spark plug having seven carries and two TD of 44 yd and 65 yd as well as catching a convert. Tanner Sanford scored the other TD ona34 yd carry, with Payton Fisher running in the convert. The Lions got most of their work done by their work horse Ben Helland, Ben carrie dthe ball 17 times, while getting 3 Td and catching a convert and running one in as well. Quarterback Raine Eberl hit pay dirt on a 78 yd run. Sam Rigetti rounded out the scoring, with a 3 yd TD.  

 September 1

Riders 19 vs. Ti Cats 21

As the score indicates this was a great football game, no-one know who would win till the horn sounded at the end of the game. Ti Cats led 7-6 at halftime on a Chantz Petruic Td and Christopher Hedin convert.The Riders banged in their Td on a 62 yd Brayden Martin Td. The second half started with the team exchanging Td Martin for the Riders with Ryan Reidy with the convert. Cats grab the lead back with a 48 yd Td pass to Kody Morales, then kicked a 2pt convert Petruic. Petruic, then scored the Cats final Td.But the Riders never gave up with 3.8 seconds left Reidy rolled out and threw a perfect pass to Payton Fisher for a Td. Giving the Riders a chance to tie they missed the convert kick wide, sealing the Cats win.

 September 2

Rockets 7 vs. Bombers 22

 Rockets started off well scoring on their opening drive Tyde Hutchison ran in from 30 yd out and Weston Mergel punched in the convert. Hutchinson carried 11 times, while Mergel had 9 touches. Bombers Connor Doka-Moore did most of the damage scoring a Td and kicking two 2 pt converts. Brendan Seida punched one in, as well as QB Kyle Reidy. Jory Litt-Jukes did his share with 15 carries.

MVP for both teams were Rockets Weston Mergel and Bombers Connor Doka-Moore

 

Sept. 8

 

Ti Cats 23 vs. Lions 38

The game was fast paced with both teams scoring and scoring often. The Ti cats just came up a little short, The Cats were led by Chantz Petruic, who scored all three Td’s for the Cats and kicked two 2pt converts. Petruic carried the ball 9 times for 132 yd. Kody Morales ran in a convert to round out the Cats points. The Lions big dog was Johan Branning, who had five touches four TD’s and 189 yd, Qb Raine Eberl scored twice and had a convert while getting 114 yd, Sam Rigette had a convert as well. All though he never scored Ben Helland had 11 carries for 79 hard fought yards.

MVP for both teams were Ti Cats Preston Drake and Lions Braydon Anderson.

 Sept. 9

 Bombers 24 vs. Riders 0

 Bombers started out fast and didn’t slow down Bredan Seida scored a 60 yd Td on the first playoff the game, Joel Litt-Jukes scored on a 14 yd run and Connor Doka-Moore hit pay dirt on a 25 yd run and kicked three 2pt converts. Riders Payton Fisher picked up 62 yd and Brayden Martin had 59 yd. MVP’s for both teams were Bombers Zack Tangan and Riders Dawson Kurz.

Ti Cats 22 vs. Rockets 25

 Lions 44 vs. Riders 30

 The Lions came out with a game plan of run Jonah Branning and that is what he did, scoring five Td’s and a single convert. Branning had a little help in Qb Raine Eberl scored a major and ran in a single, alond with Sam Rigetti who hit paydirt . Chris Vincent led the way on D, with a fumble recovery and some nice tackles. The Riders spread out the scoring with Braden Martin scoring two Td on the ground. Ryan reidy threw to prefect passes for TD’s, First one to Payton Fisherfor 64yd and the second to Kaige Heska 55 yd. Andrew larmour kicked three 2pt converts.

MVP for both teams were Lions Sam Rigetti and Riders Ryan Reidy

 Sept. 16

 Ti Cats 8 vs. Bombers 22

 The Bombers started out the same way, they have every game this year & that is to score on their first drive of the game. Joel Litt-Jukes led the way with two Td’s, while Bredan Seida had the other. Connor Doka-Moore kicked two 2pt converts. On D Jaden Benson recovered 2 fumbles of the Ti Cats. The lone bright spot for the Ti Cats was Chantz Petruic who scored and kicked the 2pt convert. Jordan Bryant picked up 45 yd on 7 touches.  

 MVP’s for both teams were Ti Cats Keian Klein and Bombers Chris Roney.

 Sept. 22

 Lions 40 vs. Bombers 34

 Defence was not the name of the game here, at times you wondered if they were there at all, but the Lions step up once to stop a Bombers drive & that was the nail in the coffin. Bombers started as per usual, scoring on their opening drive, Joel Litt-Jukes scored the Td, Jaden Benson return a kick off 65 yd for a TD, Brendan Seida hit gold once, while Connor Doka-Moore scored twice and kicked two 2pt converts. Lions were led by Johan Branning, who scored three Td’s, Sam Rigetti and Ben Helland both had Td’s as well, Qb Raine Eberl had a Td and a 1 pt convert, C.J. Vincent caught a 1 pt convert, while Kolby Nant kicked a 2 pt convert.

 MVP’s for both teams were Lions Kolby Nant and Brendan Seida.

 Sept 23

 Rockets 6 vs. Ti Cats 27

The Ti Cats got revenge for a previous loss to the Rockets. Qb Chantz Petruic led the Cats with 3 Td’s and kicked a 2 pt convert as well. Jordan Bryant ran in a 21 yd Td and Kody Morales had a 1 pt convert. Rockets Td was set up by an interception by Connor Macmillan, who returned it 44 yd. Giving the O a chance, which they did when Logan Fettes scored from 22 yd out.

 MVP’s for both teams were Rockets Logan Fettes and Ti Cats Dylan Stevens  

  Sept. 29

 Rockets 14 vs. Riders 24

 Rockets played a good game but came up just a little short for the effort. Bryden Silzer scored a 1 yd Td and threw for 40 yd, Tyde Hutchinson scored a Td and Weston Mergel kicked a 2pt convert. The Riders got their first win of the season o a great team effort. Braylen Breton and Braden Martin both got in on the scoring act with 1 yd Td’s, then the last major came in a brother combo, Ryan Reidy threw a 20 yd td pass to younger brother Josh and Andrew Larmour kicked three 2 pt converts.

 MVP’s for both teams were Rockets Shadye Peterson and Riders Grayson Stevenson.

 Bombers 24 vs. Lions 24

What a game this was, for those who were there they saw all both teams had to offer as well as some bad. Lions scored first on a 15 yd run from Jonah Branning, the Bombers came right back to score on a 64 yd run by Joel Litt-Jukes and took the lead on a 2 pt convert by Connor Doka-Moore. Lions score next Branning 48 yd Td, but again the Bomber answered the call with a 15 yd Td from Brendan Seida, Doka-Moore 2 pt convert, Lions then scored again on Qb Raine Eberl’s 20 yd run to take a 18 – 16 lead going into the 4th quarter. Doka-Moore then decided he wanted more than just 2pt converts and scored on a 58 yd run, as well as the 2 pt convert. To give the Bombers a 24 – 18 lead. Lions just played smash mouth football all the way down the field with Ben Helland earning the hardest 2 yd Td of his young career, running into a wall of blue at the goal line to tie the game at 24 – 24. Lions missed their convert. But teams had several chances after that to score but would miss handle the ball and come up just short on downs. Both teams seemed happy with the tie and can’t to see each other again.  

 MVP’s for both teams were Bombers Casey Jones and Lions Ben Helland.

 Oct. 6

 Ti Cats 14 vs Riders 32

Ti Cats first points came on a touch back safety by the defence, from there the offence started up, Kody Morales scored a 35 yd Td and Chantz Petruic had the other major. The Riders spread the wealth with four different players getting points, Braylen Breton led the way scoring 2 Td, Brayden Martin had 1Td, while Payton Fisher hauled in a 50 yd Td pass from Ryan Reidy and Andrew Larmour kicked all four 2 pt convert.

 MVP`s for both teams were Ti Cats Chris Hedin and Griffin Barrett

 

Oct.7

 Rockets 27 vs. Lions 44

 The Rockets put up a good fight but could not keep pace with the powerful Lions offence. Weston Mergel led the Rockets with 2 Td and a1 pt convert, Carter Johnson had a Td and a convert as well, Qb Bryden Silzer ran one in and Connor Macmillan ran in the convert. Lions were led by Johan Branning, who scored 4 Td, Sam Rigetti added 2 Td and Ben Helland had the last one, while Raine Eberl and Brayden Anderson bothscore 1 pt converts.

 MVP’s for both teams were Rockets Carter Johnson and Lions Guvar Changar.

 

Oct. 13

 Riders 14 vs. Bombers 30

 The Riders made it interesting for the first half of football by keeping it close, they were only down by two points 14 -16 at half time on some great work by Brayden Martin, who scored 2 Td and had Andrew Larmour kick a 2 pt. convert. The Bombers were led by Brendan Seida and Connor Doka-Moore, Who both had 12 pt nights, Seida with 2 Td and Doka-Moore with a Td and three 2 pt convert, Joel Litt-Jukes scored the other major.

 MVP’s were Bombers Joel Litt-Jukes and Riders Braylen Bretton.

 Oct. 14

 Lions 59 vs. Ti Cats 34

 The night may have been a little cool but both offences were hot or at least one player on each team was smoking hot. Ti Cats Qb Chantz Petruic ran like a deer scoring 4 Td’s and a 2 pt convert, Kody Morales had the other on a 58 yd run. The Lions had something a little faster than a deer in the forum of Jonah Branning, who scored 5 Td’s, Ben Helland scored 2 Td’s both hard earned smash the middle scores, Raine Eberl had the other major on a 71 yd run. The surprise of the night came from line backer Kolby Nant, who kicked five 2 pointers and ran in a single.

Playoffs

 #5 Rockets 28 vs. #4 Ti Cats 38

 The Rockets came out just like their name, fast and hard. Taking a 14 -0 lead on their first two touches, Bryden Silzer and Connor Macmillan scored Td and Weston Mergel kicked a 2 pt convert. The noise from the crowd must have woke up the Ti Cats or at least the one Tiger, anyways as Chantz Petruic came to life, as he scored 30 unanswered points and all 38 pt for the Cats, 5 Td and kicked three 2 pt converts. The Rockets must have refuelled in the 4th quarter as they made one last surge with Silzer scoring another and Jett Zahruik ran one in as well. Mergel kicked the extra 2. The Cats now face the 1st place Lions on Saturday at 10:15 am

 MVP’s were Rockets Bryden Silzer and Ti Cats Kody Morales.

Oct. 21

Playoff Semi-Finals

#3 Riders 32 vs. #2 Bombers 20

The Riders, who started the season slow, are trying to finish with a bang, with what most would call an upset over the # 2 Bombers. The Riders were led Brayden Martin who scored 2 Td on 10 carries , Braylen Breton had a Major on 12 carries and Ryan Reidy scored on his only touch of the game Andrew Larmour kicked all four 2 pt converts. The Bombers 3 majors all came from Joel Litt-Jukes and Connor Doka-Moore had the other 2pton convert. Riders will now face the winner between Lions/Ti Cats next Friday for the City Championship.

Oct. 22

Playoffs Semi-Final

#4 Ti Cats 21 vs. #1 Lions 43

The Ti Cats came to play after coming off their big win over the Rockets on Tuesday, going Td for Td with the Lions in the 1st quarter, Dylan Stavens and Chantz Petruic hit Pay dirt and Petruic kicked a 2 pt convert to stay tied with the Lions in the quarter, Brayden Johnson scored the in the 3rd qtr. Petruic ran in the 1 pt convert for the rest of the Cats points. Lions major scores were Raine Eberl 3 Td and Jonah Branning ,3 Td as well and a 1pt convert , Kolby Nant kicked three 2 pt converts.

The Lions now have to prepare themselves for the surging Riders Friday.
