General League Guidelines for COVID
We are encouraging all players, families, and coaching staff to use the MJMF Screening Checklist before attending any Moose Jaw Minor Football Function
Information for season:
Masks and gloves are not mandatory
Huddles will be allowed
No player or coaching staff should attend practice if they are feeling any symptoms of Covid-19.
No player or coaching staff should attend practice if someone they live with is feeling any symptoms of Covid-19.
No player or coaching staff should attend practice if their family has been notified of possible exposure to Covid-19 due to contact tracing on an infected individual.
The head coach and/or manager must be informed if a player or coaching staff is not attending practice for one of the reasons above.
If a player or coaching staff misses practice for one of the reasons listed above, they and/or everyone they live with must self-isolate until they no longer are feeling symptoms of Covid-19 prior to resuming practice attendance.
Players, families, and coaching staff must abide by SHA rules for out-of-province travel:
If a player or coaching staff has travelled outside of Saskatchewan within Canada during the past 14 days, they must self-monitor for symptoms.
If a player or coaching staff has travelled outside of Canada, they must self-quarantine for 14 days
Changes made to game field/game play:
Teams will be on opposite sides of field of play (see game field below)
Teams will be allowed to operate between the 30 yard lines (see game field below)
Parents and fans will have designated areas from the 25 yard line to the end of each end zone (see game field below)
Concession will have two windows, one for home team fans and one for away team fans
Game field dugouts will be closed
Ball person for each game to have a clean ball for each change of possession
Coaches are not allowed on the field of play, players and officials only
If a timeout is called, players can come to the sideline
Game timeouts will be extended to 2 minutes to allow players time for water breaks
Half time will now be 5 minutes
Each team will have a Covid Officer
Limiting the number of coaching staff (including trainers and Covid Officer) on sideline to 10 people during games
